Ingredients

Method

  1. Prepare Yeast Solution: Mix ¾ cup water, 2 tbsp sugar, and 1 tbsp yeast. Stir well until partially dissolved, then leave for 10 minutes.
  2. Make & Knead Dough: Combine flour, salt, baking powder, powdered milk, vegetable oil, and the yeast solution in a bowl. Mix everything well and knead the dough, then let it rest for 10 minutes.
  3. First Rise: Shape into a ball, apply some oil on top, cover, and let it rise for 2 hours until doubled in size.
  4. Shape Buns: Roll out dough to ¼-inch thickness and cut into circles. Apply oil using a brush, fold each in half, and roll lightly one more time.
  5. Steam: Place buns in the steamer and steam for 12 minutes.
  6. Broil: Take buns out, brush with egg wash, and put into the oven on broil for a couple of minutes until golden brown.
  7. Serve: Open up the buns, add pulled pork, pickles, and extra BBQ sauce. Enjoy!

Nothing yet. If you have cooked this — what you changed, what went wrong, what your mother did differently — it is worth more here than anywhere else.
